McConnell criticizes Trump’s comments on the Constitution

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell slammed previous President Donald Trump’s remarks in a post on Fact Social previously today that required the “termination” of the Constitution.

” Let me simply state, anybody looking for the presidency who believes that the Constitution might in some way be suspended or not followed, it appears to me would have a really difficult time being sworn in as President of the United States,” McConnell stated.

McConnell would not state if he would support Trump if he gets the Republican election in 2024 when asked by CNN’s Manu Raju.

” What I’m stating is it would be quite hard to be sworn in regarding the presidency if you’re not happy to promote the Constitution,” McConnell responded. “That’s what I stated, and I have actually simply stated it once again.”.
