Kevin McCarthy to make Israel first foreign trip as House speaker

United States Home Speaker Kevin McCarthy will go to Israel on his very first journey abroad as speaker, and resolve its parliament, the Knesset, he announced on Tuesday.

He’ll be just the 2nd United States speaker in history to resolve the Knesset, and the very first one to do so this millennium, his Israeli equivalent Amir Ohana said

McCarthy reacted to a tweet from Ohana, stating he was happy to accept the invite.

Ohana explained McCarthy as “an unfaltering advocate and longstanding pal of Israel.”.

McCarthy’s go to “is a clear expression of the strong and solid bond in between Israel and its closest ally, the United States of America,” Ohana stated in a video revealing the go to.
