The 13-year-old boy of Rebekah Jones, who declared she was fired for declining to control state Covid-19 information while operating in Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ state Health Department, was apprehended Wednesday for supposedly threatening a shooting at an intermediate school.

The young boy, whom CNN is not calling due to the fact that he is a small, was charged with composed or electronic risks to eliminate, do physical injury, or perform a mass shooting or an act of terrorism, a second-degree felony, according to a warrant released by the Santa Rosa County Constable’s Workplace.

In security cam video at the constable’s workplace, acquired by CNN, Jones can be seen accompanying the young boy to the constable’s workplace on Wednesday afternoon, where he gave up.

Thursday night, Jones, who has a substantial online following, tweeted, “My boy is house with me now and sleeping.”.

She recommended, without proof, that her boy’s arrest was connected to a claim she submitted on March 13 in Leon County, Florida, versus the Florida Department of Health and a previous manager, under the state whistleblower act, looking for to get her task back, lost earnings and damages for her treatment as a staff member.

A spokesperson for DeSantis referred concerns about the arrest “to the thorough police of Santa Rosa Constable’s workplace.”.

Jones kept in mind in a tweet that the constable’s workplace started examining her boy soon after she submitted the claim. She declared on Twitter that her boy had actually sent out “simply memes” to his pals that she states were not threatening.

However, according to cops reports, numerous trainees at a Navarre, Florida, intermediate school informed cops that Jones’ boy had actually informed individuals he prepared a school shooting and published threatening memes and messages on Snapchat and Discord. One trainee informed cops that the young boy informed her on Discord he wished to end his life and soar the school.

After releasing a search warrant, officers stated they discovered messages in February from the young boy’s Snapchat account referencing weapons and the Columbine High School massacre and prepares to shoot and stab individuals at the school.

Throughout an interview with cops on March 23, the young boy informed cops he did not mean to perform the shooting and cops did not discover any weapons at his house. Jones informed cops the young boy no longer participated in the school and was being house schooled, according to cops files.

CNN has actually connected to the constable’s workplace for extra info on the case.

Jones in 2020 implicated the DeSantis administration of attempting to cover the degree of the pandemic and shooting her for declining to falsify numbers to decrease the scale of the break out. In 2015, a state inspector basic report stated her claims were “dubious” and Covid-19 information was not falsified.

Jones openly shared the story of her termination prior to leaving the department in Might 2020 and ended up being a popular online critic of DeSantis. She unsuccessfully ran for Congress in 2015 versus Republican politician Rep. Matt Gaetz.

In December 2020, state cops performed a search warrant at Jones’ house while examining whether she accessed a state messaging system without permission to require state authorities to speak up about Covid-19 deaths. She was eventually charged with one count of offenses versus users of computer systems, computer system systems, computer system networks and electronic gadgets. In December, Jones consented to confess regret and pay a $20,000 charge in a pretrial deferred prosecution contract.
