A Texas male was sentenced to more than 3 years in jail Wednesday for attacking policeman throughout the United States Capitol riot and threatening Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Twitter soon after the attack.
Attic Miller, 36, pleaded guilty in December to charges connected to his conduct on January 6, 2021. He was apprehended weeks after the riot– on Inauguration Day– while using a t-shirt that stated: “I existed, Washington, D.C., January 6, 2021.”.
According to his plea contract, Miller brought equipment with him to DC, consisting of a rope, a grappling hook and a mouth guard, and district attorneys stated he was “at the leading edge of every barrier reversed, authorities line overrun, and entranceway breached within his distance that day.” Miller was apprehended two times throughout the riot, according to court files.
