President Donald Trump revealed Tuesday that the U.S. military performed another strike on a presumed drug vessel off the coast of Venezuela, eliminating 6 believed smugglers.
” Under my Standing Authorities as Commander-in-Chief, today, the Secretary of War, bought a deadly kinetic strike on a vessel associated with a Designated Terrorist Company (DTO) carrying out narcotrafficking in the USSOUTHCOM location of duty– simply off the Coast of Venezuela. Intelligence validated the vessel was trafficking narcotics, was related to illegal narcoterrorist networks, and was transiting along a recognized DTO path,” Trump composed Tuesday on Fact Social.
” The strike was performed in International Waters, and 6 male narcoterrorists aboard the vessel were eliminated in the strike,” Trump stated. “No U.S. Forces were hurt.”
The strikes follows the White Home sent out legislators a memo Sept. 30 notifying them that the U.S. is now taking part in a “non-international armed dispute” with drug smugglers.
In addition, it begins the heels of 4 other deadly strikes versus declared drug boats in the Caribbean considering that September.
