Secret Service agent on Harris detail involved in altercation before flight

A member of Vice President Harris’s Trick Service security information was associated with a run-in with other representatives on Monday and eliminated from their project, police authorities stated.

Harris was not impacted by the event, which happened at Joint Base Andrews while she was at the Naval Observatory, according to the Trick Service.

” At roughly 9 a.m. April 22, a U.S. Trick Service unique representative supporting the Vice President’s departure from Joint Base Andrews started showing habits their coworkers discovered upsetting,” Trick Service spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi stated in a declaration. “The representative was eliminated from their project while medical workers were summoned.”

The declaration did not attend to media reports that the representative entered into a battle with other representatives and needed to be handcuffed before being taken in for a medical evaluation. The Washington Inspector initially reported on the run-in.

Harris left Joint Base Andrews in the future Monday for Wisconsin without event.

” The Vice President was at the Naval Observatory when this event took place and there was no effect on her departure from Joint Base Andrews,” Guglielmi stated. “The U.S. Trick Service takes the security and health of our workers really seriously. As this was a medical matter, we will not reveal any more information.”

A White Home authorities decreased to comment.
