Prosecutors seek 15-year sentence for disgraced former NJ Senator Bob Menendez after bribery conviction

Federal district attorneys state disgraced previous New Jersey Senator Bob Menendez must be locked up for 15 years after his conviction in a “long-running bribery and foreign impact plan of uncommon gravity.” On Friday, district attorneys submitted a 108-page instruction describing their arguments for sentencing Menendez, along with Wael Hana and Fred Daibes, who were founded guilty along with the previous legislator.

In their instruction, the district attorneys highlighted the severity and profundity of the criminal offenses and noted their historic significance.

” As shown at trial, the accuseds engaged, for many years, in a corruption and foreign impact plan of spectacular brazenness, breadth, and period, leading to extremely serious abuses of power at the greatest levels of the Legal Branch of the United States Federal government,” district attorneys composed.

The disgraced previous Democrat was implicated and founded guilty of taking part in a yearslong bribery plan including the federal governments of Egypt and Qatar.
