GOP lawmaker calls trans Dem 'Mr. McBride,' abruptly ends hearing after ultimatum from another Dem

Rep. Keith Self, R-Texas, quickly adjourned a congressional hearing on Tuesday after Rep. Costs Keating, D-Mass., emphatically challenged Self acknowledging Rep. Sarah McBride, D-Del., as “the agent from Delaware, Mr. McBride.”

McBride, who recognizes as a transgender female, reacted to Self– who chairs your home Foreign Affairs Committee’s Europe Subcommittee– by stating, “Thank you Madam chair.”

As McBride looked for to continue speaking, ranking member Keating disrupted, asking Self, “could you duplicate your intro once again please?”

” Ah, yes,” Self responded, including, “we have actually set the requirement on the” Home flooring.

” I will,” Self responded. “The agent from Delaware Mr. McBride,” Self duplicated.

Self stated they would continue the hearing.

” You will not continue it with me unless you present a duly-elected agent properly!” Keating stated.

In reaction to the final notice, Self revealed, “This hearing is adjourned.”

Last month Rep. Mary Miller, R-Ill., acknowledged McBride for a Home flooring speech by stating, “The chair acknowledges the gentleman from Delaware, Mr. McBride, for 5 minutes.”

In a tweet after the episode on Tuesday, Miller agreed Self, stating that Self “is best to mention the biological truth that Tim ‘Sarah’ McBride is a guy. Enough with the lies. As God ordained and President Trump stated, there are just 2 GENDERS: Male and Female!”

Rep. Nancy Mace, R-S.C., stated in a post on Tuesday, “You understand what’s indecent? A psychologically ill male pretending to be a lady. Biology. Science. The Left ought to attempt it a long time( sic).”

McBride mentioned in a Tuesday post on X, “No matter how I’m dealt with by some coworkers, absolutely nothing decreases my wonder and thankfulness at getting to represent Delaware in Congress.
