Trump vows China, not U.S. consumers, will pay more under blanket tariffs

Former President Donald Trump stated Tuesday the Chinese will be the only ones paying greater costs under his suggested tariff system, turning down claims U.S. customers will wind up paying more if he enforces across-the-board levies on imports from nations that damage American markets.
