Maryland failed to assess the vulnerability of its Francis Scott Key Bridge long before it collapsed

The Maryland Transport Authority stopped working to finish a suggested vulnerability evaluation that would have revealed the Francis Scott Secret Bridge was at considerable danger of collapse from a ship strike long before its death in 2015, according to federal detectives.
