L.A. wildfire recovery czar will work for free after backlash to proposed $500K salary for 3 months

Steve Soboroff, a long time component in Los Angeles civic life who is now working as primary healing officer for the city’s wildfire return, will not take an income after dealing with reaction over strategies to pay him $500,000. He would have been paid through charitable contributions, not with taxpayer cash.
