French-Algerian writer Boualem Sansal sentenced to prison in Algeria as France calls for his release

A court in Algeria on Thursday sentenced an acclaimed French-Algerian author to 5 years in jail over remarks that questioned the borders dividing Algeria from local competing Morocco, which district attorneys declared threatened nationwide security.
