FAA to lift emergency flight restrictions Monday morning as air traffic staffing rebounds

The Federal Air travel Administration’s (FAA) flight decrease emergency situation order will formally end Monday early morning, permitting typical operations to resume across the country, according to authorities.

The order will be raised at 6 a.m. ET Monday following suggestions from the FAA’s security group. The choice followed security evaluations and enhancements in air traffic control service staffing levels throughout the U.S., according to a Sunday statement from the FAA.

” I wish to thank the FAA’s devoted security group for keeping our skies protect throughout the longest federal government shutdown in our country’s history and the nation’s persistence for putting security initially,” Transport Secretary Sean Duffy stated in a declaration. “Thanks to President Trump’s management, controllers have actually gone back to their posts and typical operations can resume.”
